What an incredible day. Incredible location, beautiful styling, epic weather and one awesome couple with one very cute little girl. Check out Hayley & Jake's Wedding!
PARTY! Sam and Chris undoubtedly had one of the wildest weddings we have ever captured and what a blast it was to be a part of. Sam is John’s sister and originally Sam asked John to capture something short and simple from her and Chris’s day, But... as it turns out after John heard the plans for their wedding he got our team on board to create something truely epic for Sam and Chris...check it out!
We were approached by Variety- The Children's Charity NSW to film the annual B to B Bash in August 2017. After filming the NSW bash for the past 8 years we jumped on board with great enthusiasm to capture such an iconic event (this event started in the 80s with Dick Smith). This year the brief was to capture all the fun and shaningans that is a Variety Bash but focus on the core elements of what Variety- The Children's Charity is all about, helping Aussie kids be kids. The 300 entrants in 80 cars raised amazing amount of over 1.85m this year. Along the way Variety granted schools over $80,000 worth of equipment and resources. Our team consisted of John & Elliot manning the cameras, with Elliot doubling as audio capture and John doubling as Editor. We also had John's Dad, Craig behind the wheel ensuring we got from A to B to C to D with no issues. Fronting the camera this year to tell the Bash story was the awesome JPY (John Paul Young). Below is the highlights film we created of the event and some photographs our talented camera operator Elliot took, as well as some iPhone happy snaps we took along the journey from Sydney to Darwin from the 3rd to 13th of August.
We headed West for a few weeks and travelled around in a van. It was fun. Take a look at the little clip we cut together and a few photos from the trip :)
We had an absolute blast at LOTL Wedding fair 2016. Located at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley we were one of many vendors on the day. It was our first ever wedding fair and it was a huge success. We loved being out and meeting and chatting to all the bride & groom's to be.
Here are a few snaps of our awesome display stand. We utilised local Newcastle suppliers to bring it all together and it looked great!
Thanks to Crab apple vintage for the furniture, Blooms on Darby for the greenery & flowers, Sean Bell for our booklet design & Andrew from Gold N Tint for having the MLM stencil made for our sign. Everything came together perfectly!
We are excited to let you all know we will be attending the Love on the Lawn Wedding Expo. Stop by our stall and say hello. We would love to have a chat about how we can work with you to create an amazing wedding film of your big day. Hope to see you there!

Our second journey to this part of the world. We scored a few good waves and had a great crew.

We just have returned from a journey to the south west of New South Wales covering the annual Variety Bash. With 80 entrants our job was to cover all the cars, the people and the schools we travelled to along the way. Here a few snaps of us and our gear. A clip of the week to follow shortly.
Team Morelife Media. Scott in the middle, Elliot on the right and myself on the left. Our gear consisted of 2x A7s cameras, a couple of tripods, a Kessler pocket dolly, 2x Rode Shotgun Mics, a rode boom mic and pole, Sennheisser wireless mic system, Monopod, DJI Phantom 2 w/ H3-3D gimbal, DJI Ronin, 2x GoPro Hero 3+ Blacks
The Sony A7s. An amazing HD camera. Small in size but big in features and quality. Coupled here with a sony E- Mount 18-200mm crop lens looking a little muddy. Not the fastest zoom but it does have a good focal range, is sturdy and focuses nicely. The Rode shotgun mic on top helps with the average sound the A7s generally records. The tripod is a Manfrotto with a 501HD. The tripod itself features a ball mount which is essential on run and gun shoots like the Variety Bash.
We came across this old beater in the outback and I couldn't resist using it to film the cars cruise by. I also had to get a shot with it. I think it really highlights how open and flat our country can be.
Snapped this on day 2 of the bash. This Ford F100 was converted into a cement truck. The back actually has a couple of beds for the driver and navigator to get some Z's on the road. The sunset was pretty epic also.
Here we are on day one in our fluros. It was a great start to the week and the afternoon sunset was incredible. Elliot was shooting tripod with a zoom lens and I was flying the phantom drone.
It was about time we headed off on a surf trip. A quick 10 days adventure into the South Pacific to sample some warm tropical barrels. On first arriving to Samoa you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of home and settle into the relaxing friendly atmosphere the country has to offer. Spend a few days here and your completely chilled out and relaxed. Heading out for a surf in the morning for 4 or 5 hours and then adventuring around for the rest of the day taking in the breathtaking waterfalls the islands have to offer make Samoa pretty much the ideal surf trip.
